What about an enticement drop to get the chatter going….Maybe either drop randomly, or drop performance based on # of Social Media (SM) attempts or engagements, an auto generated reward/enticement just for SM engagement on site. Or maybe strictly reward on a scale of participation, maybe some qualifying number of SM generated contacts to gain entry in to drawing, so only those generating and driving the SM interactions and participation get rewarded. Something like a full credit, perhaps, for each successful engagement and maybe answering is like a 1/4 credit, with each credit getting you an entry in to a drawing. Enticements/rewards could be matched to their level of membership or level of financial commitment at the time of the monthly/quarterly drawing, a prize tier of sorts, where your prize will be determined by the tier you paid for, or failed to pay for, being the prize determination. Prizes could range from a free month if their monthly, to a free file download, a 15 or 30 minute scheduled phone call; or whatever incentives may to be found. Perhaps this might generate some buzz, and give them a reason to engage in the SM component while the site is slow, but being upgraded. Throwing money at a problem is not always the solution…. but sometimes it helps lead to a solution.
