I’ve always had a thing for big “machinery” and “equipment” of course … It’s something to do with all those heavy chains and cogs … and pumping and grinding actions, I think. So it was lots of fun to enjoy some time exploring the nearby quarry on our summer holiday this year … Just playing amongst the rocks and stones and metal cages … And trying to imagine where on the island these rocks will be transported to, and what new erections they will be used to build, and … fingers crossed … perhaps discover on my return next summer. I first visited this Waterwheel back in 2016 … for one of my Scavenger Hunt locations. And it has become something of a tradition to revisit every summer since.
