Two weeks ago we had the kind of cyclone. A weather system that dumped lots of rain and blew certain parts of our coast. We then had a weekend of nice weather, which allowed for some camping. One reality of living in the northern half of Australia is dealing with tropical cyclones. These intense weather systems are incredibly unpredictable. Usually they occur north of the Tropic of Capricorn. However, this weekend just gone the city where I live (which is well south of The Tropic of Capricorn) felt the effects of Cyclone Alfred.
