Four expressions

In a genre dominated by sexy bodies, fetishistic outfits and kinky activities, I find myself picking up on and blogging about facial expressions more frequently than almost anything else. Yesterday’s post was one recent instance, and today’s features another. With the internet providing an endless stream of bodies in an infinite variety of sexual configurations, I find facial expressions are the most common way I can connect with a shot. Without them the imagery becomes almost abstract. This example from Divine Bitches is a bit porn-y, but I do like to see people having fun. Or at least 75% of the people having fun. Tie abuse

Despite the abuse of what looks like a very nice tie, I like this image. I know it is a posed fashion shot, but his expression captures an element of what makes a great scene. It’s that sense of abandonment and giving oneself to the moment. That point where everything goes slack and you just relax into the dynamic. Shibari Suspension

This lovely suspension scene is from woodenpunk, rigged by EbiMcKnotty and photographed by Bendy_Dude. It’s probably an odd thing to pick up on, but I also like the color of their rope. I’ve no idea where they sourced this particular one from, but for anyone interested in well made and nicely colored rope, I suggest checking out Twisted Monk. Normality

Anyone who thinks being kinky makes them special should probably think again. According to The Journal of Sex Research, interpreted via this article in Maxim magazine, almost 50% of adults have unconventional sexual desires. Which kind of raises the question: At what point does unconventional become conventional? If kinky people make it to 51% of the population do we have to start describing non-kinky people as the unconventional ones? Of course sometimes sexual desires can be complicated to pigeonhole in a simple classification system. Is this scene exhibitionism, public humiliation, shoe fetishism or simple D/s? That’s Mistress Hillary to you

I couldn’t do posts on politics and photoshopped images without featuring this famous one of Hillary Clinton. It’s from Spy magazine in 1993. That was Bill’s first term, when Hillary was driving for a health care plan known (inevitably) as Hillarycare. These days this would be considered as the kind of amateur photoshop job that can pop up anywhere on the internet,, but back then it was fairly eye catching. I remember seeing it and feeling oddly aroused. This was from a time when I hadn’t fully figured my sexuality out. Not so Super Tuesday

It’s hard to avoid politics in America right now. I suspect that might be true for most of 2016, which is a depressing thought. Despite the vast amount of idiocy on display, there is the odd amusing moment. John Oliver is always brilliant and his take on Trump was true to form. On a topic closer to this blog, I liked the dommes raising money for Bernie. Fifteen minues of spanking for $27 is pretty good value. Of course, when it comes to the political candidates, I’m sure many people would pay to administer the spanking. I’d certainly chip in a few bucks for Megyn to straighten Donald out. Elaborate arrangement

The bondage here isn’t elaborate, but the arrangement she has come up with certainly is. It looks like his head is held under the chair, and then there’s a pulley apparatus to connect her footrest to his testicles. AVN Season (cont)

I’ve noted the lack of awards for kink, fetish and BDSM at AVN in the past. I think the last time, in 2013, there were only 3 vaguely relevant awards. This year, based on this list of winners, they’re now down to one. That’s the very generic ‘Best BDSM movie’. They don’t even break out separate awards for maledom and femdom. I doubt it’ll surprise anyone to learn that for the last three years that award has gone to a maledom movie. Breaking out every kinky niche into an award would probably be unmanageable, but I’d have thought top level awards for best male/female top/bottom would at least have been considered. AVN Season

The annual AVN awards were announced this weekend in Las Vegas. They style themselves as the ‘Oscars for Porn’ and, having attended them myself many years ago, I can confirm they’re as boring and repetitive as the Oscars and other similar industry award evenings tend to be. This year they were held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas, which decided it’d be a smart move to harass and expel transgender performers. That’s based on what Lorelei Lee reported on her twitter feed.
