1. Did any teachers in your high school have sex with a student? Did any students act out on a teacher crush?
There was a rumor of a female staff member who “initiated” several older male students. I have no idea how much fact was the foundation of this rumor. Excited teenagers liked to repeat stories of tight skirts and flirtatious poses, but honestly, I don’t know.
The Ex-Policeman however, did have a dalliance with his high school art teacher. She initiated it. He assures me that he would never have even known how to approach a woman like that. The encounter(s) have had a lasting effect. To this day, his eyes light up in a certain way when he encounters an attractive female teacher.
2. Did any professors at your college (or other post-high school) have sex or other inappropriate relationship, with a student?
Not really. I am not sure if class sizes or the type of course I was doing had an effect. Maybe we were just too absorbed in our interactions with each other.
3. Have any of your co-workers had an affair with another co-worker?
Yes. It was messy, and there was much gossip, and judgement of the pair involved. Ultimately, they left their respective partners and moved in together. The thing I found most ironic about the whole situation was that about twelve months after this all went down and both parties involved found new jobs, the main instigator of the gossip and judgemental commentary found herself in an identical situation! I was amused by this turn of events. Even more amused to find that she left the company mainly because she didn’t want to be the subject of the same treatment! Glass houses, stones and all that.
4. Have you seen hanky-panky between members of a church or club that you belong to?
This may surprise some of you, but Mr Jones and I used to belong to a social group that was loosely connected to our local Catholic Parish. It was a great little group of families and we have made some lifelong friends from it. There was minimal hanky panky between the members. Even those who were married to each other! Mr Jones and I did invite some of our swinger friends along to some events, though. So I guess we were the ones everyone was talking about!
5. Have you ever had a friend keep you up-to-date on his/her marital infidelities?
I have a very firm rule about other people’s relationships. “Other people’s relationships are other people’s business.” I avoid gossip and drama that focuses on other people’s relationship woes, infidelities and general displeasure with their partner.
Bonus: Have you caught someone you knew out with a person who was not his/her regular partner?
Given my general avoidance of relationship drama, and cluelessness relating to social cues, I have to say no.
