One reality of living in the northern half of Australia is dealing with tropical cyclones. These intense weather systems are incredibly unpredictable. Usually they occur north of the Tropic of Capricorn. However, this weekend just gone the city where I live (which is well south of The Tropic of Capricorn) felt the effects of Cyclone Alfred. Fortunately, this system was not at strong as some others and the effects were not as serious as they could have been. It did, however, leave Mr Jones and me stuck inside while it rained A LOT for a few days. Fortunately, it was warm enough that we could take some outside images.
